Getting Started as a Volunteer

In 2008 alone, more than 900 dedicated volunteers stepped up for CCA and 30 of our most exceptional volunteers received national honors and awards for their work through the National Points of Light Foundation. CCA’s volunteer program has also received national recognition receiving the 2008 Hearts of the Community Award for Volunteer Innovation and the 2004 National Family Volunteer Award from the National Points of Light Foundation.

Whether you want to volunteer alone or with your family, on a corporate team or with a student group, as a community leader or with a service organization, CCA has a fulfilling opportunity for you. From scooping ice cream at the Celebration of Courage Family Festival or coordinating a family getaway to the Oregon Coast for a seriously ill child to playing soothing music in the hospital hallways or forging a long-term friendship with a child undergoing chemotherapy, CCA’s volunteers get as much as they give with their generous donations of time, passion and compassion. To learn more about volunteering for our programs and special events or supporting CCA with administrative help or leadership, please contact us today.

Please Note: You must first submit a volunteer application and accept an invitation from the Volunteer Program Coordinator to attend orientation meetings.  Thank you.
